Malahide (Day #22)

It was a chilly and rainy day here in Ireland today. We slept in until about 10:00 and had some breakfast and got on the train to go to Malahide. We kind of just picked a stop about an hour away on the train yesterday and said, let's go here, so we did. It was a really pretty little town. It was right on the coast and it actually had some sandy beaches. It would have been really nice except is was only about 55 degrees and rainy. We walked the beach and had a rock skipping contest, I lost. Then we ate lunch while watched two couples play tennis. We were pretty cold so we came back home for the day. After we got home I took a little nap and did some reading. I had the urge to shave my beard so I did that as well and I already miss it, I look like a child, but it will return soon. For dinner we had beef, two kinds of potatoes, turnips, beans, and carrots. We relaxed for a bit then watched the women's World Cup with the family. It was a really good game, the US had chances to win and actually should have won, but the Japanese came back and won in a shoot out 3-1. USA is still #1 in my heart. I usually think soccer is rather boring, but I have to say that was a very exciting game to watch. Now it is time to relax before bed. The week days usually go by super fast and I'm just thinking that before I know it will be next Sunday. Hope everything is going good back at home.
